Testing Revolution Pro... Worth the hype?
So for those of you that didn’t know, Makeup Revolution has come out with a new addition to their family. It’s called Revolution Pro (and for good reason). Whenever I think of the word "pro" I think of makeup used by professionals. So I was intrigued to try out their pro range and see what all the fuss is about! I had high expectations for Revolution Pro; mainly because it wasn’t long ago since they came up with the revolutionary define and conceal concealer that had changed most MUA’s beauty routines.
So, I only purchased a few products and I have been using them religiously especially the drop foundation!! So on that note let me get into the foundation.
So as you can see it is in a glass bottle which gives it a nice luxurious look. It isn’t like most foundations as it doesn’t come with a pump, instead it comes with a pipette. The foundation for me seems to be full coverage. I mean I have never had to use more than one layer, and personally I love a full coverage foundation. The finish is quite dewy and luminous which is really nice if you have dry skin like me! I wouldn’t really recommend this foundation to people that have oily skin because I think this would make it worse. This foundation was only £7 and definitely worth it!!
Next stop is full coverage camouflage concealer!
Now I didn’t think that Makeup Revolution could create a concealer that was better than their define and conceal... but they have only gone and proved me wrong! This concealer comes in a tube which I quite like to be honest. This concealer is definitely full coverage and conceals any sleepless nights that you may have had. I love this concealer because it makes me look really fresh faced. I would suggest to use it sparingly as a little goes a long way as it is quite a thick concealer. Although it is a thick consistency it doesn’t feel uncomfortable once blended out. Overall, I must say they have got it spot on with this concealer! For £5 you can’t really go wrong.
The next product is a dupe which will save you some serious $$. Yes I’m talking about the regeneration revelation palette.
I absolutely love this palette and I have to say that the shades are identical to the Huda Beauty textured shadows palette. The glitter shades are so pigmented which is amazing for a drugstore eyeshadow palette. The palette has a variety of matte and shimmer shades which is good for many different looks. I would say that this is one of the best palettes that I have used by Makeup Revolution so far! Plus it’s only £8! YES ONLY £8!
Here is swatches:
Make way because it’s time to apply and slay! The next product is the Pro Supreme matte lip pigment! I have mine in two different shades which are Foresite and Visionary.
Here is the swatches:
The Pro Supreme matte lip pigments are very pigmented and don’t apply patchy. However, they do transfer and I found that mine didn’t dry completely matte. Which to be honest I’m okay with because then it doesn’t make my lips look dry! So I think it’s actually a good thing.
That’s all for now and if you want me to test out more from Makeup Revolution Pro then let me know in the comments!!
Overall, I think Revolution Pro is definitely worth the hype and has great value for money! They have some really great products and I can’t wait to try more from them. Have a lovely day everyone!
