Silicone blender VS Beauty blender

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all well! Today I want to talk about the death defying matter that is what is better the real techniques miracle sponge or the silicone sponge? I have had many people ask me what is better to blend out foundation, concealer and cream contour. So I thought I may as well write about them both to see which one wins survival of the blend! Are you ready to see which one is worth they hype? Also quick disclaimer. If these products work for you then that is great and carry on using them. This is just my opinion on the two however everyone has different skin types and different products suit people differently.

Ok so first I am going to start with the Real Techniques miracle sponge. I purchased this little life saver from Superdrug for £5.99. Which is a positive already because girl who has all the money in the world to spend on a sponge? Not me! So anyway ever since I brought it I cannot put it down. I always used to use rushes to apply and blend my foundation. Not anymore. I can honestly say that since I purchased the miracle sponge I have never used a brush since to apply my foundation.  Once it has been washed it dries so quickly; basically overnight. Whereas some brushes can take a WHOLE day to dry. And that’s not cool. Overall it blends out to give you a perfect airbrush finish to your foundation routine. I would recommend this to anyone.

Next in line the silicone blender. I purchased my silicone blender from eBay. I got it for £1.99. Now I was so excited when I heard that they can blend out your foundation without sinking into your blender so you save so much product. And the fact that you can just wipe it clean is an amazing plus. However, I’m sorry to say this but it does NOT blend your foundation. It just leaves a thick layer of foundation on top of your skin. It doesn’t sit nicely and it ends up making your foundation look patchy AF. And that is never a nice look. Overall I think that if you use it then you may want to set your foundation with a powder because otherwise it will come off on everything.

Have a great day everyone and I hope you enjoyed this post. Please feel free to follow me on my other platforms for other tips and tricks plus a few giveaways!
